Ok..?
Ok..?
Great game, very addicting...
It is addictive! The game is great if looking for a challenge, that is not frustrating. The game has great playing mechanics without throwing much money at it. I paid for the premium version to get rid of ads and purchased the unlimited fast forward. So for less than $10 I have already played over 40 hrs accumulative over many days.
This game got me through prison
You have to click on each house every time you collect taxes, you have to click on each building every time a building starts needing repair. Frustrating to the gameplay. Don’t like it. Otherwise would’ve been great.
I remember when you all first started, this game has gone a long way. Then, I saw the Netflix Version. I kinda wish you all would update this app just to include more of the stats (building production) and maybe just extra characters. Other than that, I find myself coming back. I’ve invested too much money to swap over to the Netflix version.
LOVE it! If you’re looking for a town building game, set in a medieval world, this is it! Gameplay is infinitely adjustable. You can play without spending extra $$: they let you volunteer to view adds for bonuses…a feature I like. Highly recommend.
U gonna love it 😍
Any possibility of a way to make your own maps anytime soon?
A game I love and enjoy greatly passes time am really fun for beginners on these type games great for a side task game while waiting or off of work enjoy an dive in to townsman!
This is a peaceful city builder where you do not need to worry about other players ravaging your town and destroying you while you’re offline. Build your town and defend against PvE. Great change of pace for IOS.
Been looking for paid games to avoid the micro transaction scam but was disappointed that despite being a paid game it still has micro transactions for the currency used in the game. Please no.
This is such a good game for Mobil. But there is a lot of micro management.
I enjoyed this game so much that I am half way through my 2nd play through. It’s tactfully made and a clean looking game. It doesn’t have all of that cartoony bouncing nonsense that many games have. I always play this at work when I need the time to go by faster haha. Going to be sad when I finish it again, I won’t know what to do! Maybe one day we could get a Townsmen 2??? :)
This game is designed to frustrate you enough to consistently spend money. Very different from the Xbox version. No unlimited fast forward and you don’t replenish your prestige. Very disappointing. Stay Away!!
It’s one of those that just doesn’t lose its charm even after all these years.
I love this game. The level of detail in the town, the activities of the townies and the production is great! I love that the production chains have to be constantly monitored, seasonal activity changes plus disasters and bandits to keep you paying attention. I keep coming back to this game.
I’m addicted to this game. Its not like clash of clans or any game like that. Time only passes when you’re playing the game, but it keeps you busy. Your whole economy is based on decisions you make. There are many different maps and difficulties to play on and with the ability to have multiple saved games is awesome.
I love this game so much. I would like to request a feature for a future update. We need a carpenter who repairs the buildings. That would be awesome!
I absolutely love this game, except I tried getting the unlimited fast forward and it just won’t work, but all of the in game purchases don’t work any more
It’s a fun game, I played it when it was free without ads and think it’s kinda dumb all you get for this premium is no ads, it would be great to have to have the unlimited booster, I could turn on airplane mode and play the free version with no ads for free, otherwise it is fun and it’s annoying you can’t constantly use the ads for 5x speed or 10 prestige.
Open this app on my iPhone, and it will automatically exit frequently. Exit abnormally
This game reminds me a lot of Heritage of the Kings where you have to wisely manage your city and resources, and I love that about this. I am also a developer, and I truly appreciate the time and effort that went into this. However, I don't appreciate the following things: - I paid for the ad-free version of this game, yet it always boots with an ad. - There's a bug in the election campaign where you're supposed to build marketplace stands, yet no matter which type and how many you build, the quest counter stays at zero. You cannot complete this quest. Frustrating, to say the least. [EDIT: This is not a bug, you have to hit the arrows until you see the flashing stall in order for it to count toward the quest. Leaving this in case it helps someone else.]
Should’ve stuck with the free version
Paid for the game then was told I couldn’t open the game until I agreed to device tracking. Now I can’t get my money back. If they’re going to require device tracking it should be clarified up front before you pay.
10/10 paid for premium but don’t care about the start up ads. It’s still great gameplay. I love complex games that actually have depth. This is the only mobile game besides btd5 that I play
This game is a ripoff! I paid for premium, but it takes so long to build anything that it's unplayable without paying for credits! This is fraud!
Well built game. Was in search for an age of empires style game and this comes close.
I love building games so I downloaded and was addicted. But i wish that you could make your own world so you can just play. Like i want to just build with out limits so i think you should be able to make your own world
This game has kept me entertained for several years. I love the relative simplicity of it combined with the intricacies of certain aspect. It’s easy to make a booming town and every step along the way feels massive. The different maps provide different challenges which are fun to understand and overcome. There are still parts of the game I don’t fully understand, and I can’t wait to keep playing.
This is a fantastic game, that you can play using no money. Just watch the ads
This game is life! Hours of play - worth every penny. I wish they had more huge maps. Would totally pay more for upgrades
I’ve been playing Townsmen for so many years now it’s like an old friend. It’s always my first download on a new device and I’ve recently purchased the premium version for the second time since I switched from Android to Apple. The devs of this app must love it as much as I do because the care and attention to details really show through. Thank you to all the hard working people who make this app such a joy to play with every day!
I like playing this game. You might too.
Great game if only the constant adds would just stop. Granted, the paid version decreases them a bit, but the games own ads for progress points and rewards is really in your face. This is a downer at times.
Ok it’s the paid version. No ads that’s awesome. But I feel there should be way more decorations than what there is now. Another thing the prestige is out of control. You don’t gain coin fast enough from taxes without spending the coin you don’t have. I watched the ad videos that give you 10 prestige each time but after my 5th time it just sits there with a loading circle allowing me not to view ads for prestige no longer. It’s a great game but I think sense we have paid for it it should offer way more.
The food availability seems a bit arbitrary. One minute you have 10 Townspeople and 100% food stock, and the next minute it drops to 30%, even though there are no new villagers to be eating more food. Also it crashes a lot. It’s especially annoying if you are in the middle of a rapid build when it crashes. The game won’t save the finished built structure on your map, but it will remember how much you spent on Prestige to rapid build it and that amount will be gone. Other than that it’s fairly entertaining.
The recent update destroyed the tax revenue. You literally have to spend money every time you build anything unless you want to wait to collect enough tax, which after the update can take forever.
I really like this format of city building. I wish you guys had different themes of this kind of game. I just hate all the other games that make you physically collect resources. I just want to build a city without all the complicated, tedious aspects.
I absolutely love this game. It’s exactly what I was looking for in a medieval sim and to all the people complaining about the difficulty...just do the tutorials. I like the difficulty because I’m sick of these simple tap and collect micro transaction cash grabs that act like complex simulators. This game does have micro transactions but I don’t really find them too annoying, though I wish they didn’t exist tbh. Please keep adding to the complexity of this game because I’m absolutely hooked and would love to see this continue to evolve with more and more production chains and types of resources to produce.
Good game
Is there a way to save progress to iCloud or something ? I literally just bought premium thinking it was going to be different that the regular game. I paid for the ads to be gone on the regular one! I like this game I just wish I could get my villages from the regular on the premium.
This game is awesome! I'm writing this review because the game keeps asking me to... kinda annoying but whatever. I'm hoping after this I can enjoy the game 100% without any pop ups!
Get these %#*?ing in-app purchases out of here man! We paid for the game!! So greedy and obtrusive. I really wanted to like this game but the devs are too pushy. I paid for no ads, and infinite speed, and double xp, yet STILL — really can’t progress through a sandbox game without buying their in-game currency. Also, there are some interface issues like finicky roadbuilding, not being able to get info on existing decorations, buildings getting in the way of each other, etc. I haven’t been this frustrated by shady dev practices in a long time. I thought I was buying a whole game but it was too late.
Of all the economy/building games this one wins.
However, your constant pestering is annoying AF. I totally support developers earning pay for their work (I’m a game dev myself), and I’m happy to give you my money for this great game. BUT when I pay to download something ad-free, I expect a hassle-free gameplay experience. I bought unlimited speed-up too, because it’s a feature I wanted, and I don’t mind the price. BUT I don’t want double XP, and I really do NOT want you to beg me to buy it every two freaking minutes. Take NO for an answer, please. Same with asking for reviews. Take no for an answer and don’t constantly harass your paying customers by not giving them a ‘never’ option. I want to play the game without interruption. And why show ads when opening the game first thing when you sold me an ad-free game? You took my money and didn’t deliver your promise. It doesn’t make it ok just because your advertising your own games. This game is great enough to make plenty of money on its own merits, without you tarnishing it was cheesy used car-salesman tactics. You are great devs, and you are better than this.
First of all I paid for the no ads.. then I got charged AGAIN because I got the premium app.. like, what the heck. You would think that if you had paid for the no ads you wouldn’t get charged again, right? & how do I request a refund or something because basically I paid for the SAME thing TWICE.
It addictive
I downloaded this when I was laid up in the hospital and it definitely kept me entertained. It’s a lot of fun! My one wish would be that there was a blank slate option without any previous buildings other than the main castle. I really enjoy designing the layout of the towns but don’t even bother with the ones that have a lot of buildings already. I also wish their were more big or huge layouts that weren’t stuck in permanent winter. The permanent winters I don’t bother with. Also, the timed challenges (ex: 5 minutes to produce x amount of x) is pointless and impossible unless you’re already a well established town. Otherwise it’s a fun game but plan to pay $ to get the most out of it.
I really like this game. It makes you think about things that you wouldn’t normally care about In these types of games. You get to use ur brain in such ways I didn’t think it could. It’s amazing get the game
I’m still waiting for him to put in a Navy. They did have Navies back then. One point: if you have Android and switch to Apple 🍎 YOU Will lose all of your gains. It won’t cross over. I was very upset 😡 But, I started from scratch and I still love this game!
