I love how this game is continuing to evolve through each update! Really is fun to play and replay with the new challenges.
well not really, anyway i thought buying (supporting the devs) will unlock every iap in game.
you have to buy the fast forward, thats what really you want in this game really.
just download the free version, buy the unlimited fast forward, dont waste your money on this ad free version.
I love the color pallet, the music and sound effects. They way townies talk is perfect. The art style is joyful without being silly. And all this is icing on the cake of a fabulous game mechanic. I cant wait for more new scenarios!
Update: Yea! Lots of new goodies! Now there are bandits & militia, a new building interface, Trade Guild building, new scenarios, and my townies are even smarter than they used to be.
Townsmen & Royal Envoy 1,2,&3 are the best games on my tablet. They both have stayed great for years. Seems most games get an update or two, and then they are left behind in a year. HandyGames & Playrix are reliable devs. Tytyty for so many hours of achievable challenges!
I saw that the game was going to be on PC and decided to try it out. I love the style, music, and scenarios. Sandbox mode is very fun too. If you enjoy city building games with micromanaging and challenges, it is definitely worth the money!
I love this game, very addictive and fun to play. The only issue I have is there is no option to turn off the day night cycle or at least thats what it looks like. Also the night doesnt look like night it just looks like a gray version off the game. I just wish there were options like the bandits for day and night and for the weather. But I still love the game and am going to continue to support it.
Some bad moments

I love this game. I have for a long time, but whenever I play, I have about 5-10 minutes before the game will lag uncontrollably and make it impossible to do anything, forcing me to close the app to fix the issue. Just for me to build a common building I must close and reopen the app over 5 times.
I have been playing for over a week on the same town and I just tried watching a video to get the merchant to come faster and it took me out of the game and when I tried reloading the game, my previous town wasnt even there!!
It is so terrible now!!!! I want to revert to the pre-upgrade version. Will likely remove this game as it is no longer fun. The cost to build each building is much higher and because it takes so much longer to get to a level where you can run the town, the townsmen are constantly irritated and lots of pop up messages - out of Thaler, short on wood, short on food. Terrible!
I have to agree with the other posters that the most recent update made the game A LOT harder. I too, am finding it a constant struggle to keep my people happy and buildings repaired.
I get its a "freemium" and they have to encourage players to keep buying in app purchases even after they have bought the game, but the changes will reduce the fun factor of the game and drive away your business.
Otherwise, I like the addition of seasons and the foresters hut. Possible updates could be stables to provide better horses to the jousting arena to increase its entertainment ability. Perhaps add the ability for your carriers to start using horses as well to make them able to carry more and go faster.
Well here is another great example of a game that will do nothing but pester you for more of your money.
Opening the application, it brings up a list of other games to sink money into. Throughout the game it points out how long things take to build, and how much faster it would be if you would be willing to pay another $6 for infinite fast forward. Do you find you exp is going up too slow as well? Pay more money for double exp!
This is lazy game developing. There was no attempt at anything new; there are other games that do this style of gaming with more finesse, where you can at least close the app and come back to seeing your buildings completed; not this game. If youre not willing to pay for more "prestige", youve got to let every painful second of building be built. Funnnn.
Overall, 5/5 for looks, but 1/5 for gameplay, and for tempting me to hide my wallet.
